We all know that earthquakes can affect different living things especially us humans. It can kill thousands of us. We must follow the safe steps or things what we need to do before, during, and after earthquake in order to survive. Also, help those who were affected to save lives.
Earthquakes are caused by the rock underground breaks along a fault. The seismic waves makes the ground shake. It shakes when there is a move of energy. When two plates are rubbing against each other, they stick a little. The rocks catch on each other. It’s still pushing against each other, but not moving. After a while, the rocks break because of all the pressure that’s built up. When it breaks, the earthquake occurs. During the earthquake and afterward, the tectonic plates will start moving, and they continue to move until they get stuck again. The spot underground where the rock breaks is called the focus of the earthquake. The place right above the focus or on the top of the ground is called the epicenter of the earthquake.
